Listing a domain for sale at Sedo is completely free and only takes a few moments. Just sign up for an account and add your domains and the details of your offer. We’ll email you as soon as you receive an offer. You also have the option to initiate an auction for a domain which has received an offer.
How much does it cost to list a domain for sale?
- Listing a domain for sale on Sedo is absolutely FREE. We operate on a commission basis, so you are only charged if we successfully find a buyer for your domain. Then, Sedo’s commission fee is 10% (for minimum commission please see pricelist), and this fee includes Sedo’s secure escrow service (including sending the payment to you via Paypal or Wire Transfer).
Please keep the commission fee in mind when pricing your domains! Professional marketing of a domain name is not cheap, but we think you’ll find that the results more than justify the up-front investment. By attracting end-user domain buyers, Sedo is able to get a much higher price for your domain than you would be able to get elsewhere.
How do I sell a complete website?
- Developed websites can be sold through Sedo just like domain names. From the domain listing page, click on the link “Click here to sell a developed website.”
You will be asked to provide us with some information about your website, including visitors, pageviews, members, and a description of the site. Sedo will review each website listing to ensure that the site meets our minimum quality standards.
Once your listing is approved, your website will be listed for sale. Your sales listing will be viewable both through our search function as well as through our browsable catalog of websites for sale.
Although it is not required, Sedo strongly recommends that you place a link from your website to your Sedo sales listing. This will greatly increase your chances of making a good sale.
How do I add multiple domains at once?

Do I have to include a price/ category/ description?
- I strongly recommends that you specify as much information as possible. Choosing three categories helps maximize your domain’s exposure in the domain catalog.
In the Description field, you may want to write if the domain receives any traffic, the sources of traffic, and possible uses for the domain.
Specifying a price is a bit trickier: If you price your domain too high, you may scare away potential buyers and not receive any offers. Setting the price as “Make Offer” can be a good solution if you are not sure how much to ask for. However, many buyers browse our site looking for bargains, so if you are willing to price aggressively, your chances of making a sale are greatly increased. Finally, we recommend that you avoid using the “Fixed Price” pricing option—most domain buyers prefer to negotiate. Thus, you will generally have the most luck using “Make Offer” or “At most 90% Off” in combination with a reasonable asking price.
